Meet Whitney at Mimi & Dottie

Meet one of Mimi & Dottie's amazing team leaders, Whitney! You've seen her around the store and all around Downtown Franklin. Whitney loves to help style customers and assist them in finding perfect pieces for their closet. She grew up here in Franklin and went to college at O'More College of Design, just a few blocks off of Main Street. Find out how she became a part of our team and why she loves doing what she does.

What began your interest in fashion?

I began modeling around age 13 and that is how I fell in love with fashion. Seeing the work that goes into it in general, and being backstage at fashion shows, I learned that fashion is more than just clothing.

How did you become a part of the Mimi & Dottie/JONDIE team?

I reached out to Rebecca and Jondie and then we set up an interview. When I started working in March 2016, only JONDIE was open, and Mimi & Dottie was in the works. I was hired the day of my interview and began working just a few days later.

What is your favorite part about working at Mimi & Dottie?

I love the fashion forward style of Mimi & Dottie. Since the store has an intimate vibe, it is easy to connect with customers and style them for a special occasion or for their day to day lives.

What is your favorite trend for summer?

Bright colors. I love the tassel earrings and necklaces.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself.

My boyfriend coaches a football team in East Tennessee, yet I hate football.

What is your favorite thing to do in Downtown Franklin?

Eat. My favorite restaurants are Puckett's Grocery and 55 South.

If you weren't working at Mimi and Dottie, what would you be doing?

Being a backup dancer for Beyonce.

Pick one.

Justin Timberlake or Justin Bieber?

Justin Timberlake, obviously.

Stripes or solids?

Solids.

Summer or winter?

Winter - winter accessories are better.

Eyeliner or mascara?

Mascara.

Instagram or Snapchat?

Snapchat all the way.

Aliens or ghosts?

Aliens because they hopefully won't come in my house in the middle of the night.
